Interest Rates are climbing. We have been anticipating this for a while, and it is finally happening.

Higher interest rates mean buyers will be qualifying for lower purchase prices. Eventually, this will most likely lead to prices leveling out to accommodate this.

Buying now will allow you to purchase more home for a lower monthly payment. Selling now will allow you to capitalize on the equity you have in your home before prices level off.

Real Estate Term Time! Before you purchase a home, your lender is going to want to make sure that the house is indeed worth the price you are paying. To do so, the lender will order an appraisal – a valuation of your new home to determine market value. The appraiser will review recent sales, condition, upgrades, market conditions, etc to determine this. It is done independently to avoid any biased and can also be ordered by a buyer even if they are paying cash.

When buying a home, there are many things that I tell my buyers to try and look past. Wall color, for instance, can be painted over. However, there are few things that you may not be able to change about a home that you need to consider before purchasing that perfectly updated house.
